You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. *Bonded with Marco*TJ and Marco are a bonded pair seeking a home/family to give lots of love to and get lots in return. These two were rescued from an outdoor cat colony in central MN.   They have only been with their foster a short while but are making great strides and show incredible promise!  Because their lives have been turned totally upside down, they are cautious.  Understandably, right?  A few weeks ago, they were living outdoors, enduring the elements, hunting for food and avoiding predators.  Now they live in a home, have food and water provided, and have humans talking to and comforting them.   These two are tightly bonded – and have leaned on each other through all the change.  They rely on each other for bravery and stability and comfort – they currently only approach new things and peoples in tandem and side by side… they literally walk as if they are connected. 

In new situations and with new people, these two have the widest eyes you may have ever seen!  But within a few minutes, their curiosity and desire for connection wins out and they relax. TJ and Marco are two of the loudest purrs ever heard.  When their foster is in their room, she can hear them from many feet away.  They purr even before they come over for petting.  And once they come over for pets, the purring gets even louder. TJ’s “go to” move for petting is the pacing back and forth under the hands while head-nudging.  Marco’s “go to” move is a dramatic side body flop seeking full belly and back rubs.  Marco has the softest fur – almost like a mink or chinchilla.  And TJ is the fluffiest of all fluffiness! He has extra tufts of fur coming out of his ears and toes and his tail and body appear 3x larger than actual size because of his ‘poof’ factor. 

TJ and Marco love petting and are getting more and more used to human hands each day.  They have just started getting used to climbing on laps and seem to love it. Their foster is taking things slow but is seeing significant progress.  At the core, these two are affectionate and trusting and wonderful cats who should continue to blossom and thrive with the right support and patience.

These boys are perfectly and completely domesticated – they use the litter box and the scratching posts the way they are supposed to and are not picky about food.  They have had full evaluation with a vet and have a clean bill of health (and are neutered and micro-chipped and up to date on all veterinary needs).

Marco and TJ are absolute darlings who have very sweet demeanors and would be great companions.  They will do best in a home that will go slow with them as they transition – everything is new to them.  With a little understanding and patience and love, these sweeties will adapt and thrive in no time at all. 

Marco and TJ have been through a lot of changes in the last few months, but through it all they continue to be loving and curious and adaptable.  They deserve a permanent home where they can give and receive love and in return, they might just be the purr-fect addition to your family.    

TJ and Marco are currently living in Minneapolis; we welcome visits from potential adopters.
